Installation
The gauge pod installs directly into the original top dashboard vent opening.
No major dashboard modification is required, however access for wiring and vacuum lines will require minor preparation.
The pod is designed as a snug push-fit into the vent area, but adhesive can be used if a permanent installation is preferred.
 
Basic Fitting Procedure
  • Remove the original top dashboard vent.
  • Remove the front section of the lower dashboard vent if access is required.
  • Drill or pierce a small hole from the lower vent section into the upper vent cavity to allow wiring or vacuum lines to pass through, as these sections are enclosed and separate parts of the ventilation system.
  • Feed gauge wiring or vacuum lines through the opening.
  • Insert the gauge pod into the vent location.
  • Push firmly until the pod sits flush with the dashboard.
  • Install the gauge and secure as required.
 
Gauge Installation
The pod opening is designed with slight tolerance to accommodate small size differences between gauge manufacturers.
 
Gauges can be secured by:
  • Using small wedges (such as thick cardboard or rubber strips)
  • Applying adhesive for permanent installation
Removable wedges are recommended if gauges may need to be removed in the future.
